Perfect Match winner Christine Obanor slams her co-star and ex Nigel Jones for cheating on her and being a “gas lighter” and “manipulator”.Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star revealed the moment she found out Nigel had been unfaithful to her. “I found out that he was still messing with his ex the entire time that he was messing with me. I had a feeling in my heart that his ex was still in the picture. So I DMed her on Instagram and I said “call me” and I gave her my number. She FaceTimed me and told me everything and I just started to perceive him in a different light. I thought I don’t want anybody to lie to me, so I threw him in the FaceTime call and he continued to gaslight and manipulate me on that call. At that moment I was just like who have I been head over heels for for the past nine months? I just felt like everything was a lie.”She continued: “He turned on me and at that moment that’s when I learned my position in his life and felt like a second option. He was saying he was never sexually attracted to me. He said “you should have taken the signs when I didn’t see you”. It’s so messed up to say that. I think he was playing both sides. We knew about each other, but he’d brush it off and make it seem less than what it was. They were never officially a couple either. One thing about him, he’s not putting a title on it. He’s literally the definition of emotionally unavailable. It was another situationship like mine and his was. He was talking to her even while he was on Perfect Match.”Later in the interview, Christine opened up about the emotional toll the alleged manipulation has had on her: “I feel like the past couple of days I’ve been kind of like conflicted on protecting him and protecting what really kind of happened because I do care for him. I’m not being emotional my feelings are valid. I’ve been gaslit, I’ve been manipulated throughout this relationship. It’s exhausting and it’s draining because he does have my heart. I don’t want to say the door is open because I know that I’m not respecting myself and I’m just going to waste more years of my life because he showed me his true colours and I don’t know how much longer I can continue to make excuses for his behaviour. I’ve told him multiple times ‘you need therapy’ and I admit I need therapy too. We’re both damaged. We’re both hurt.”Listen to the full episode here.

Love Island winner Sammy Root revealed he asked his ex Jess Harding to stay together as they “owed it to the fans”.Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star opened up about his break up with fellow Love Islander Jess Harding: It was very mutual. I feel like we both had a feeling that it didn’t seem the same anymore. I remember that the first time we had a chat was at her house. But when we first had that chat, we said “let’s try” because we’ve just been voted to win this show and then we’re sort of breaking up straight away. Not that we owe anyone anything but for me personally I felt like I did owe the fans. Because they had voted to make us win and so to break up straight away, I felt it was out of order really. It was more me saying “come on let’s try and make this work” but further down the road it just wasn’t working. Neither of us wanted to force it. We’d rather keep it healthy and just end it rather than trying to force it and end up in tears.”He continued: “I wouldn’t have done anything differently. We did both try to make it work when we were outside but life in the villa as opposed to life when you get out is so different and I think neither of us were expecting it to be that different. We just didn’t really adjust to each other. I made the odd mistake along the way but that’s how we learn.”Later in the interview, the 23-year-old revealed he would like to go on Love Island: All Stars and chose the girls he would like to be in the villa with him: “Gemma Owen, that’s obvious. And Molly Smith. I’d love a nice Love Island girl playing with my curly hair. Love Island was the best experience of my life so to say no would be stupid. Dumped Love Islander Munveer Jabbal revealed that Samantha Kenny is “livid” after being dumped and claims that she was “restricted” by the producers.Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star revealed he spoke on the phone with Samantha shortly after she left the villa: “She literally just called me about an hour ago and she’s obviously livid, for obvious reasons. Watching it the other day was a tough watch because, being so close to Samantha in the villa, you could clearly see she has strong feelings for Joey [Essex] but it wasn’t reciprocated. No physical touch, no intimacy. Then Grace [Jackson] walks in and smacks one right on the lips right in front of her. She obviously feels embarrassed. I spoke to her and she’s doing well, she’ll come out of this bigger and better for sure.”He continued: “She just feels like she wasn’t able to do what she wanted to and some of it was a little bit engineered. She feels like she was a little bit restricted in what she could have done in certain situations. I’m not saying its scripted but sometimes its difficult to go have a conversation with someone, there’s timing and all these different things. She just feels like it didn’t go her way.”Later in the interview, Munveer responded to being asked about the rumours that Grace and Joey’s relationship in the villa was planned: “I think you hit the nail on the head there, no smoke without fire. The way they’ve come in it seems like they’ve known each other for a while. There’s a past there, how strong is that past? Who knows. She’s come in, and they’ve coupled up straight away. I feel really sorry for Samantha because she is a class girl. She put it herself and said she was a placeholder. Should you be drinking eight glasses of water a day? Apparently not according to an NHS doctor
Dr Sophie Newton reveals the truth behind whether you need to drink eight glasses of water a day.
Chatting to host Gabby Allen on the health and fitness show What the Health?!, the NHS GP said ‘This is a really good one to debunk because that is definitely not true. It all depends on how much you are eating as we have a lot of liquids in our food, how hot you are, how much exercise you are doing, if you’ve just been to a hot yoga class. So just listen to your body, when you are thirsty is when you need to make sure you are drinking and make sure you are drinking plenty of water rather than just caffeine and alcohol.’
Dr Sophie also gave her opinion on the latest social media trend which sees people drinking saltwater to improve their digestion ‘No I would not do that. Unless you’ve got diarrhoea or vomiting or excessively sweating then don’t do that. In fact, it may make you dehydrated.’
Later in the interview, the GP also discussed her recent visit to the House of Lords to discuss antimicrobial resistance ‘Essentially this is about how antibiotics may stop working, already we’ve seen that we’ve got strains of bacteria that no longer… we don’t have antibiotics that work for them. So it maybe that it comes a time when you’ll have an infection, and antibiotics no longer work which is kind of really dangerous. In fact, they think by 2050, more people are going to die from antimicrobial resistance than cancer so 10 million deaths a year.’
Dr Sophie went on to say: ‘So we are all using too many antibiotics because we too readily think ‘oh I’ve got a bit of a sore throat or a bit of a cough, better go get some antibiotics. So we just need to make sure that we’re being really sensible because they are life-saving when they are used appropriately. We need to make sure in humans and in animals, as doctors, as patients. Everyone is being sensible and aware of the risks of taking antibiotics when we don’t need to.’
