Michael Greve, Founder of Forever Healthy Foundation revealed that a pill that may be able to end heart attacks is in the works and could be on the market in the next few years.

Chatting to host Gabby Allen on the health and fitness programme What the Health?!, the billionaire entrepreneur discussed one of the projects he’s been working on: “One of the most exciting things we are working on is to eliminate the root cause of three quarters of all heart attacks and strokes. And if that works out, three quarters of all heart attacks and strokes will be prevented by just swallowing a simple pill every now and then. We are going to start clinical phase one in humans this year. So I think about two years from now, we’ll know whether this will work.”

He continued: “These therapies try to go for the root causes of the diseases. For example, most hearts attacks happen because you build up soft plaque in your artery walls due to lifestyle and genetics. That plaque can build up, and at a certain point it’s too much and the artery ruptures and then you get a heart attack or a blood clot. We have developed a medication, it’s going to be a pill that you swallow, it goes into your bloodstream, it goes into the artery wall and it grabs the oxidised cholesterol from the plaque, and takes it out of the cell and you basically pee it out. When you don’t have plaque in the arteries, you won’t get a heart attack. We’re basically reverting the cardiovascular system of an old person to the state of a young person.”

“The first clinical trial for this will start this year. It’s going to be a small trial where we test for toxicity. We’ve done extensive testing in animals and that’s safe, and so we are allowed to move to humans this year. And then you have a phase two trial, which is a bigger trial with maybe like 100 people and that’s going to happen two years from now. I want to use it myself!”

The longevity pioneer also revealed that he was not always so focused on his health: “At one point in my life, I was living super unhealthy. I mean, when we we’re building my company I was overweight, I was smoking three packs of cigarettes a day and doing no sports. And at some point, I decided to change my life and I really wanted to become healthy. I decided I needed to change. I changed my diet, I started working out and I also learned everything about biohacking, then about functional medicine.”
