The Circle Winner Natalya Platanova on the stigma of being in the Army: “People expect us to be so different to what we are”

Last week on Access All Areas, The Circle’s Natalya Platanova joined Bobby and Stephen to talk about her experience on the Channel 4 show.

Talking about the military, the 31-year-old said: “I think people expect us to be so different to what we are. But I’m so girly. Like I’m just like everyone else. And you know, there is probably a bit of a stigma attached to it, how females and males are seen, but we’re all exactly the same.”

She continued: “We get treated the same now. I just, I think I wanted to prove a point and I was like behind this perfect catfish, the real driving force was me. And I was like, ‘I did prove that point!’ You know it was my personality kind of that like won in the end. Okay, his six-pack probably helped, but I like to think it was me, you know?”
