Ex on the Beach star Jess Impiazzi confirms her new relationship with former footballer Jermaine Pennant.

Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on Access All Areas, the 32-year-old addressed the rumours of her jetting off to Tenerife this month with her new beau. When asked if Jermaine had enjoyed the holiday, Jess nervously laughed and joked: “Everyone had a nice time!”

When pressed on her coy response, she noted: “Everything’s going well and I’m happy.”

The actress was previously married to rugby player Denny Solomona and the pair split in 2018 after Jess discovered that he had ‘cheated’ on her during their marriage.

Discussing why she plans on keeping her new romance private, she said: “Having a divorce go so public, I thought, this is going to be different. I just want to focus on my career and that’s how I’ve kind of kept it. I just want something for me now.

“It was not a discussion but when something’s flowing nicely, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!”

Reflecting on her previous relationships that have hit the headlines, Jess said: “When you’ve grown up with having it all in the press, you kind of realise what’s important to you and what’s not. You stop listening to other people telling you what you need to do in your career and take back your control.”

The model was reportedly dating an old school friend last year, having started going for walks together in lockdown. However, the brunette found herself single again just a few months later after a shock dumping.

Since then, the former Celebrity Big Brother star has picked herself up and focussed on prioritising herself: “I know what I want and where my vision is going and I want to try and keep it like that without all the outside noise.

“When I managed to get rid of all that and pull myself away from it, I was happy. My anxiety left and all these other problems that come with it left. And I was left doing what I wanted to do. And that became so important to me.”

The former reality star explained how she’s had to work hard to get to a place where she’s ready for a relationship again: “I struggle with relationships. I’m not very trusting. I think everyone’s out to hurt me. I had to work on myself in understanding why I feel like that.

“I never had that protection when I was a kid. So for me, it was always trying to find someone to protect me but then not trusting them to ever do that. So how is that gonna work?”
