Last week on Access All Areas, Strictly’s Karen Hauer joined hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng to talk about the next series of the BBC One show.
Talking about being possibly re-casted for the 10th series of Strictly, the famous dancer said: “If I go back this year, it’ll be my 10th series, going into. And it is the scariest thing ever waiting for that phone call. I’ve been on it for 10 years and I still get like, ‘Oh my God, did I do a good job last year? Am I going to be okay? Did they like me? Did they not like me?.’ And it’s hard. It’s really hard because you can’t book anything.”
She continued: “You can’t say, ‘Well, today I’m going to go and do this’. Because you’re waiting for that phone call, which is, you know, it’s like the sacred, is, you know, when you get the red fog?, but it’s like that phone call. And you’re like, ‘Oh my God!’ And the thing is, that when they call you, they’re like, ‘Hi, how are you?’ And you’re like, ‘Just tell me!’”
