Former Love Islander Chloe Crowhurst reveals that she has suffered three miscarriages, what she plans to do with her placenta and explains why she keeps certain elements of her private life under wraps.

Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on Access All Areas, the 27-year-old discussed the reasoning behind keeping her pregnancy private up until recently: With my pregnancy, I didn’t announce it for quite a long time, just because I’ve had very bad experiences in the past with pregnancies and stuff like that.

“I’ve had three miscarriages before, so I was under quite specialist care at first. It wasn’t something I wanted to advertise and cause stress upon.”

Despite her previous tragic losses, the reality star stated she’s feeling surprisingly calm about giving birth: I’m not actually worried about it. I don’t know why because I’m not really a chilled person, but since being pregnant I’m very chill.”

The Love Islander revealed that hypnobirthing has helped her a lot on her pregnancy journey: “It was one of those things where I was like do I do it or do I not. I don’t really believe in all of that kind of stuff… but it’s all about just being calm, it’s all about your mindset with hypnobirthing and I do believe that obviously having a positive mindset will be helpful to me.”

The blonde beauty also confessed that her pregnancy wasn’t the only thing she’s been keeping private. Referring to her past relationships, she explained why she keeps her current boyfriend, photographer David Houghton, out of the public eye: “I’ve had relationships on social media in the past and let’s put it this way, it’s not good. What benefit do you get from it? You don’t.”

She added:A previous relationship I had before, I put that on social media. The same day I put it on social media, the messages were flooding through to my boyfriend at the time and there was all these follower requests and stuff and I just think some people don’t have any respect.

“And people make up stories like ‘Chloe’s done this, or she’s done that’, and to be honest with you, I’m too old for that drama. I’m so chill, I’m happy, and that’s all that matters.”

The model assured listeners that she and her partner are very ‘happy together’, despite also admitting to feeling very unprepared for their baby girl’s imminent arrival:I’m completely unorganised, I’ve got no idea what’s going on, I’m just going with the flow and just seeing what happens.”

She added: “I’ve got this suitcase actually that’s pre-made, it’s all packed for me. But there’s obviously stuff I need to add like clothes. I’ve got a pile upstairs of what I need to pack, I just haven’t done it yet!”

While discussing her plans for after the birth, Chloe also revealed what she intends to do with her placenta: “I did actually get a delivery yesterday. It’s from Placenta Plus. I’m turning it into capsules.

“I was really sceptical about it, but I wrote my birth plan with my midwife a couple of days ago and I asked her about it, and she said people have had really positive experiences.”

Later in the interview, when asked if she’s still in contact with her fellow Love Islanders, the ITV2 star admitted that she’s lost touch with most: “I don’t really stay in contact with any of the girls from Love Island. Just because I think after the show you kind of lose contact with people because you realise… you don’t have as much in common with them as you think you do.”

However, Chloe has still managed to salvage some relationships from the show and hopes a play date might be on the cards with fellow love Islander, Marcel Somerville, once she’s given birth: “I speak to a couple of the guys still like Marcel, got so much time for Marcel. Obviously he’s got a little boy so I’ll definitely reach out to him a bit more and see what parenthood is all about because quite frankly, I don’t have a clue!”
