The latest member of Nick Helm and Nathaniel Metcalfe’s Fan Club was stand-up comedian and writer Jen Brister.
Jen chatted with them about how annoying it is when people recognise comedians in public spaces.
Nick then mentioned an anecdote that he experienced at a Supergrass concert.
The comedian was recognised by a fan while they were both queuing for the toilet.
According to Nick, the man reacted to his presence by “clicking” his fingers in his face and saying: “ Oh you are that guy off the telly? What’s your name?”.
Then, the fan took his phone out, and the Uncle star refused to take a photo with him.
Nick continued by saying that, because of the man’s stubbornness, he felt compelled to leave the toilet and “piss in a bush”.
