Tonight on FUBAR Radio, model Rhian Sudgen reveals she regrets her fling with TV presenter Vernon Kay.
The 33-year-old appeared on Access All Areas with Joanna Chimonides and Stephen Leng and talked about her appearance in the upcoming Channel 4 documentary, ‘Page 3: The Naked Truth’. Speaking of her glamour modelling heyday, she revealed: “Yes I have a few regrets. Obviously, the whole Vernon Kay scandal, that’s what I cry about in the documentary actually. That was a massive regret. But I’m past the point of no return now. My boobs are all over the internet, so I’ve just got to embrace it haven’t I!”
Explaining what we can expect from the one off TV special, the blonde bombshell said: “It’s 50 years of Page 3 this year and they’ve interviewed a few Page 3 girls, so they had me on it, and it’s basically the highs and lows of Page 3.”
Midway through explaining the show, Rhian remembered that she did a topless shoot for the programme, adding: “My boobs are going to be all over Channel 4 at nine o’clock!”
The northerner also revealed her fears about being back on TV, particularly as she hadn’t mentally prepared herself for it to be airing so soon. This was due to it suddenly being brought forward because of a lack of shows currently being filmed: “I’m just a bit nervous about being back on TV because I seem to get a lot of stick for being a Page 3 girl. People just can’t seem to get their head around that I still model in my underwear and get my bra out on Instagram. People are so shocked by this.”
She added: “I just wish people would understand that’s my job now. People keep going ‘she’s desperate, she’s getting her boobs out’. No, I’ve literally done this for twelve years now. If I was desperate, then I probably would have gone further, but I haven’t had a need to do that!”
Speaking of the backlash the show may receive, the model noted: “I don’t think it’s fair for the girls to get abuse now for career choices that they made back then. It was a completely different time.”
