This week on Access All Areas, Glow up judge Dominic Skinner joined Bobby and Stephen to talk about makeup for men.
Talking about the psychological importance of makeup, MAC’s global senior artist said: “I think for men, whatever your sexual orientation, there’s always been a slight fascination to makeup. This is almost envious situation that you wish you could be part of the club. But society tells you you can’t.”
He continued: “And so the idea of makeup is not a full-on face, it can be subtle differences to just make you look the best you possibly can, which in turn makes you feel so much better.”
He concluded: “So that’s really what it is. And it’s understanding that actually, makeup can deliver a whole world of confidence that you’ve never known you had.”
