The latest member of Nick Helm and Nathaniel Metcalfe’s Fan Club is Australian stand-up comedian, actor, author, rapper, and radio presenter Matt Okine.

Talking to presenters Nick Helm and Nathaniel Metcalfe about his latest kids album, the multi-talented showman said: “I wrote a kids album with a friend, and we just released it actually. It’s called Diver City, which is the name of the act and it’s a kids album. And I played that for my 18-month-old daughter. And you know, (we) finished the album. We spent a couple of months doing it. (We spent) Thousands of dollars (for) mastering and mixing, all that sort of stuff. (We) Finally get it ready, (I) press play for my daughter. Literally, barely the first beat has been heard and she just looks at me and goes, ‘No’. That’s it.’ No’. And I’m like, ‘What? You don’t even’. And she goes, ‘No, no. Emma, Emma’. And all she wants is Emma Wiggle ((Emma Watkins, an Australian singer, actress, and dancer, best known as the first female member of the children’s group the Wiggles), right? That’s who Emma is. And so, it breaks your heart. You’re like,’ How can you hate this already? And what are the other kids in the world going to think?’

During the show, the trio also spoke about Matt Okine’s Edinburgh Fringe nomination and Matt’s first experience in broadcasting. You can listen back to the full chat with Matt Okine here.
