Made in Chelsea’s Harvey Armstrong opens up about his on-air feuds with Miles Nazaire, calling them “very real”.
Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star spoke about how his on-screen clashes with his co-stars continue in real life: “With me and Miles [Nazaire] falling out, that’s all very real. I don’t hang out with him in London. If I see him, it’s for work purposes and it’s around filming. We keep our distance really… My journey through this show is very real. What you see is what you get.”
Later in the interview, the 26-year-old opened up about the emotional struggles he faced when filming in Bali with his ex-girlfriend Emily Blackwell: “I was out in Bali with Emily [Blackwell] for five weeks. A girl that hadn’t spoken to me for ten months. A girl that I once loved and lived with, as serious as an ex can get. And then to top it off her boyfriend is out there! So I’m there, in this tight-knit group of people, out on the other side of the world, with my ex and her new boyfriend. In no other world would I be in that situation.”
He continued: “I can’t deny it, it was weird. It was emotionally quite confusing. I am over her and its quite nice to see her happy and we got to a friendship point where we said ‘look we’re out here together let’s try and be friends’. And it was nice, because before that she wouldn’t even look at me… But in Bali we were living together pretty much… so we had to be amicable and civil. It got to a nice point and then it all kind of went south again.”
Armstrong went on to tell hosts Bobby and Stephen that he struggles with the “drama” that reality shows like Made in Chelsea require: “I don’t think that I was made for the cameras… I’m quite an internalised guy; I keep most stuff to myself. They want to see emotions; they want to see drama…I’ve never really been one for drama.”
