Last week on Access All Areas, The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward revealed she snapped her hamstring during a drunken night with her family in isolation.
Speaking to hosts Joanna Chimonides and Stephen Leng, she explained: “The first week of lockdown you all go a bit mad don’t you, it’s a bit like a holiday. We started this silly thing where we’d open bottles of wine, the whole family, but minus the two small children by the way.”
She went on to add: “At two o’clock in the morning at 46-years-old, I couldn’t do the splits when I was ten. Why on earth do I think I can run and jump into the splits is beyond me.
“So to top it off I snapped my hamstring… I’ve been in agony! I can just get on a bike now so I’ve got some cycling to do.”
Talking of the injury, she said: “It was so painful honestly. I didn’t really feel the pain after a few bottles of wine, but I did the next day!”
Dawn has been on The Real Housewives of Cheshire since it first aired in 2015 and is often involved in the most explosive storylines. When asked whether she has any plans to leave the show soon, she revealed: “I say every year, ‘that’s my final season’, and then I come back on it again. It’d feel really weird seeing anybody else step in my shoes. I’m quite a big character on it and I do really care about the show. We might all scrap and some get on better than others, but we are a dysfunctional family and it’d be very hard to leave.
“The only time I think I would consider leaving is if it affected my family or my family are no longer happy with me being on it.”
