This week on Access All Areas, Geordie Shore cast member Natalie Phillips talked openly about mental health and suicide prevention with hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng.

Bobby asked “Today is World Suicide Prevention Day which sadly I know has affected you and people near to you. What would you say to anyone who might be listening to this that might be struggling or feeling in a dark place, babe?”

Natalie formerly dated Love Island star Sophie Gradon who tragically passed away from suicide in 2018. Natalie responded, “Sophie Gradon was obviously like a huge, huge part of my life. I was with her for a year. It’s a feeling that I can’t describe, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to.”

Drawing on her own experiences with mental health, Natalie goes on “I think for me, my main thing was always… Like, it’s okay. And, I hear so many people saying this, but it genuinely is okay not to be okay, like. “
