The Apprentice winner Marnie Swindells opened up about what it’s like to be Lord Alan Sugar’s business partner.

Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star spoke candidly about what life has been like since winning the show: “I’m trying to run a business which is still a month or so old and trying to look glam whilst I’m doing it all! It’s hectic but I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m loving every single minute of it.”

She continued: “It’s pre-recorded but the actual business side of things, getting down to it with Lord Sugar, figuring out what our next steps are, that’s all happening in real time. A lot of sleepless nights just trying to make sure I’m doing him proud and do what I set out to do.”

Later in the interview, the boxing gym owner revealed what it’s like to work with her business partner Lord Sugar: “He is exactly what you see on TV. What you see is what you get with him, that’s why I love it. You know exactly where you stand, no messing around, no airs and graces which I think is the best way in business. Just be yourself and be honest.”

She continued: “Criticism is a very different thing to having those honest conversations and I think he does respect transparency, honesty and being upfront. But as my mum always says it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. I am forever a diplomat. I’ll get my point across, but I’ll try to pad it and give it that sandwich effect. Nice, then the meat, then nice again.”
