Married at First Sight UK’s Mark Kiley slams his husband Sean Malkin for not defending him after the show aired and reveals the couple he believes just want fame.

Chatting to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star spoke candidly about not being supported by his husband Sean Malkin when he received hate comments: “We filmed between February and June and we hadn’t spoken since we left. Then at the reunion he came up to me and said “I really want to talk to you. I have so much to say.” I said “I don’t want to hear it. You could have reached out to me behind camera, you didn’t bother. Now that we’re on camera you want to talk to me. There’s nothing to say. I’m not going to bump into you in Tesco, we don’t need to be friends. Let’s just cut the bulls**t.” So that was that.”

He continued: “Then he reached out to me just before we were announced and said “I’m here for you, I’ve got your back.” So when I was getting beat up on social media I thought where are you now? He wasn’t there. At our leaving scene he found his voice, when everyone thought he was this lovely person. He started sharing stuff about his friends slagging me off and saying how I ruined his experience. He was reposting it and I thought, I don’t need to see this. So I unfollowed him. I wish him well. If I saw him I’d say hi but there’s no need to be friends. He could have come out and defended me but I feel like he’s used me as a scapegoat. His excuse for leaving was “I was so worried about hurting Mark.” I don’t think so hun.”

Later in the interview, the 36-year-old revealed he believed there was a couple on the show that don’t have genuine intentions: “When I got there, I was told to be weary of Peggy [Lawrence] and Georges [Berthonneau]. Apparently, they believed they were the “it couple” and they have this black notebook of everything they’re going to achieve with the figures and the ratings, how much they could earn. I do feel this series it appears more people are on it for clout and fame.”

Mark also revealed that two castmates begin a relationship after the show: “There are a few couples who are still together. I think there’s 3 or maybe 4. There’s a couple that switch as well. A couple that have come out and now are together separately from different couples.”
