Some questionable refereeing and a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich last night in a fantastic Champions League quarter-final at the Bernabéu.
Ronaldo took his tally in the Champions League to 100 goals, becoming the first player to do so, but Carlo Ancelotti and his players were fuming over a contentious Arturo Vidal red card and two offside Ronaldo goals.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:
Bayern Munich players were extremely outspoken across social media

Clearly onside…
New UEFA rule:
If Barcelona or Real Madrid are in danger don't worry because one step offside is basically onside pic.twitter.com/aOWU2uX3Ge— Huzzy. (@SilkyWilshere) April 18, 2017
Uefa bias?
UEFA trying their hardest to make sure Real Madrid get to the semi-finals since their #1 team Barca are beyond help ?

Who knew John Arne Riise is a Bayern fan?
No red card. 2 goals offside! A referee decides who goes through. A disgrace and this can't go on! We all make mistake, but come on!!!!

Lots of cynicism
UEFA has two Spanish children named Real Madrid and Barca
