Star of The Circle Tim Wilson took over the studios this week to host a show all about rap, something which he claims to know little about! Co-hosting the show was his The Circle co-star Brooke Odunbaku, who tried to educate him on his chosen subject. Joining them was rapper Sho Shallow, spoken word poet Shareefa Energy and rapper and educator Lemzi, who taught Tim how to rap live on air!
Film critic Marshall Julius took over the studios for potentially our geekiest show to date! Joining him to co-host was producer Frazer Brown and writer and producer Ron Fogelman. Star of I, Daniel Blake, comedian Dave Johns chatted about playing the next James Bond. Author and producer John Walsh talked about got quizzed on Flash Gordon. Also on the show was concert violinist Patrick Savage who spoke about being in the orchestra for Hamilton and he gave us a live violin performance!
Love Island 2019 star Lavena Back took over the studios and presented a show far from the reality TV bubble we know her from! Joining her as her co-host was YouTuber Adeola Patronne, together they hosted an incredible conversation surrounding black representation through TV, music and beyond. Bbylv, Paigey Cakey, Ty and Ky of The Wright Brothers play and TeezeDem joined the discussion too.
Star of Drag Race UK Season 1 Crystal hosted the first Tuesday Takeover of the decade alongside the glamorous Baby Lame. They were joined by fellow Drag Race UK star Vinegar Strokes who spilled the tea on tour stories. They brought through talented multi-instrumentalist Tony Njoku, singer and poet Alex and writing partner and solo artist Tom Prior.
US comedian and FUBAR Radio presenter Dave Hill joined us for his Tuesday Takeover with his co-host Mark Maier. It was an open door policy for guests and the more the merrier. He was joined by 7ft drag Queen Baby Lame, comedians Ian Smith, Ed Night, Kelly Convey, Harry Deansway, reggae band The Hempolics and graphic designer Matthew Cooper who worked with Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Four Tet, Caribou and Paul McCartney on their album covers.
Tom Aspaul took over FUBAR Radio for a pop music extravaganza! Tom brought his podcast to Bottle Pop to us for a two-hour special. Joining Tom for hour one was the hilarious Jack Remmington of group Jack and Joel. During the second hour Tom was blessed with the company of Hannah Yadi and Benedict Cork.
In a show Henry is calling Feet Wet, he explores the different avenues young creatives found their feet in the creative industry. First in the studio was Sade Lawson who spoke about how she found herself surrounded by people she wanted to work with, Charles Moli spoke about how sometimes you have to take commercial jobs so you can do passion projects in the future, Ashnikko told Henry how she is her own mentor and Miranda Burrie said that she wished she was more patient and enjoyed the works he was doing.
From reality TV to hosting a takeover on FUBAR Radio! They discussed everything from the latest Met Gala fashion, social media struggles to hair styles and fashion do’s and don’ts.
