Legendary actor, author and LGBT+ activist Rose McGowan was live in the studio to talk to Calum about her new book ‘Brave’ and her experiences that led to the writing of her memoir. They also discussed male vs. female directors, the white male power structure, and her venture into the music industry.
For our second LGBT+ History Month special on ‘students’, we had a whole bunch of people popping in to speak to Calum. We heard from activist Philip Baldwin who told us about his experiences as a student. We had a round table discussion with Luca Mitchell from Student Pride, NUS LGBT officer Eden Ladley, and children’s author Olly Pike. Author L.C. Rosen also spoke about his new book Jack of Hearts (and Other Parts).
Roses Gabor joined Mikill as a special guest co-host for one week only whilst Marcel was away, and her and Mikill discussed her new album, which is coming out in February 2019. The first guest in the studio was Javeon, who was in to talk about his new music, but also seemed to spend most of his time correcting the way Mikill and the team pronounced his name . Also on the show was Kaniva, who was in to talk about his new release ‘OK’, and shared the story of how he overcame being on life support with meningitis. Ray speaks to the star of The Beat Beneath My Feet Nicholas Galitzine and political campaigner and sex worker Charlotte Rose. He also gives his own special goodbye to producer Sam, and does some conflict resolution with forklift driver Gary, his boss Douglas and rhino the goldfish.
This week’s show was… slightly eventful to say the least! The boys are joined by grime star Madders Tiff, who brings along her own guest, and later all of Reece’s lipsing issues are put to rest by what is possibly the strangest half an hour of radio you will ever hear as he is taught by the 1st Lady of Sex Charlotte Rose how to kiss properly.
With Harley away, we filled the show with some great guests. Gwen Dickey G of Rose Royce came on the phone to talk all about her new album, and Joel Baker passed through the studio to talk about his new track featuring Abra Cadabra.
Noel was in this week and it was a banger of a show! On the phone we had two amazing guests; Scandal’s Joe Morton, followed by the main man in Halfway Quinton Aaron. In studio we had the very talented Lewis Rose to talk about his film The Chop and the lovely Lucy Patterson with her honest film reviews.
This week Jahannah was joined by Amber Doig-Thorne! We played out the interviews of when Jahannah met the director of xXx: Return of Xander Cage D.j Caruso, and the star of the motion picture Ruby Rose. Live in the studio we had Peter Stone who talked about his play The Doppel Gang, and Lucy Patterson was back with her honest film reviews.
Lucy Moon joined Hannah for a game of Innuendo Inuuendont. Grace Victory was on board for a hilarious game of The Fuck You Sayin' Mate? Rose and Rosie joined Hannah to look deep into their Twitter drafts and discover what a ‘Canadian submarine’ is. Riyadh Khalaf came in for some hilarious songs about sex. Calum and Jerrie came into play a German version of Innuedo Innuendont. Dodie Clark and Lia Hatz stopped by to play Shitter Twitter and Sammy Paul joined Hannah for some Drunk Advice.
This week’s guests were Rose and Rosie! The girls look deep into their Twitter drafts and discover what a ‘Canadian submarine’ is, before going live on Facebook for this week’s #DrunkAdvice!
On the last show before Christmas Harley was away living the life in L.A. so Mikill Pane was joined by his good friend Harriet Rose. They discussed Eastenders, slut-dropping, drank prosecco out of pint glasses and had a Plato-win Christmas special!
