Fubar Radio Announces New Autumn Schedule

Britain’s biggest uncensored online talk-radio platform announces a raft of new shows for its forthcoming Autumn schedule.

Launched over 3 years ago, and boasting a talent line up that has featured the biggest names and the best of emerging talent, the free to air service has continued to feature programming with a wealth of artists new to radio in 2017. These have included YouTube sensation Hannah Witton, Harley Sylvester from the Rizzle Kicks and Gavin and Stacey star Mathew Horne, who said of the station “FUBAR makes BBC Radio 4 look like Guantanamo Bay”.

As part of an expanding schedule, the new Autumn line-up includes a satirical news show, featuring comedy stand-up artist Seann Walsh, a new football show with outspoken vlogger Rants N Bants, as well as a show dedicated to all things sex with controversial social media star Calum McSwiggan.

News-ish with Seann Walsh & Mark Simmons
Tuesday 12th September 12-1pm

Described as a cross between Newsnight and An Idiot Abroad, satirical news show News-ish is fronted by comedy stand up artists Seann Walsh and Mark Simmons.

Every week the pair promise to deliver an ill-informed roundup of the week’s events that make ‘fake news’ look like the BBC World Service. This is a show that aims high and scores hilariously low, with regular features like, Celebrity Weather (a diabolicaly amatour phonecall to Seann’s showbiz mates to ask them what the weather is like where they are) and Village life’ a roundup of parochial tedium in Seann’s mother’s cul-de-sac.  With Seann’s infectious humour and Mark Simmons consummate one – liners, the boys dissect tabloid headlines with all the world knowledge of President Trump.

Seann Walsh said “For fans of our Film-ish podcast, we’re now also changing radio forever with the News-ish show. RIP Mock the Week (if it was a radio show)”

The show airs weekly from Tuesday 12th September, 12-1pm.

The Sex Show with Calum McSwiggan
Wednesday 6th September 6-8pm

YouTube star Calum McSwiggan also joins FUBAR as part of the new Autumn schedule talking all things sex. Calum intends to make it his mission to bring sexy back, by encouraging open and frank discussion about sex and sexuality.  Each week he’s joined by fellow social media stars that give their take on the subject and participate in Calum’s Confessions – an outrageously open confessional spot, featuring compromising sex tales, all live on air. This is the type of feature that makes best use of FUBAR’s uncompromising uncensored nature – due to the station being the only talk-radio platform in the UK unregulated by industry standards watchdog, OFCOM.

Calum’s said “As a YouTuber I’m used to being able to censor myself and choose what I can and can’t say, and I love that Fubar allow me to do that live on air.” Calum stated. “I don’t think I would work with a radio station that operated under strict restrictions, especially since so much of the show is based around sex education. I think it’s so important to be able to be open and honest and not worry about saying a few bad words or touching upon controversial or taboo topics – plus that allows for a lot of fun.”

The show airs weekly from Wednesday 6th September, 6-8pm.

Bants Sports News with Rants N Bants & Expressionssssss
Monday 18th September 9-10pm

Social media sensation Rants N Bants and his brother aka Expressionssssss’ are bringing football to FUBAR with a weekly show that promises to be like no other live football show on UK radio. With a following on social media in the hundreds of thousands, Rants and Expressionssssss are brothers that share a family love of the beautiful game but with fiery opinion and opposing views on most things football – one a Man Utd fan, the other Spurs, think a quick-witted and occasionally sweary version of Sky TV’s Fanzone, and you get the idea.

With a Gogglebox type review of MOTD and unashamed winding up of opposing fans on Twitter, their live show is a tinderbox of football ‘rants and bants’.

The quick-fire vlogger said “Really looking forward to bringing Bants Sports News live to FUBAR radio with my bro Expressionssssss. Make sure you tune in for no holds barred banter, anyone can get it”

The show airs weekly from Monday 25th September between 9-10pm.

FUBAR’s full programming line-up includes Screen Talk with Dan Clark (BBC How Not To Live Your Life) The Hip Hop Show with Sarah Love (Radio 1Xtra, MOBO award nominee) and rapper MysDiggi (support to Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Jay-Z). Access All Areas with former wag Lizzie Cundy and celebrity journalist Stephen Leng.  Ian Boldsworth (podcaster on Peacock and Gamble, The Parapod).
