Speaking to FUBAR Radio on The Hip-Hop Show with Sarah Love and MysDiggi, Tek and Steele of Smif-N-Wessun, famed for their hits Bucktown and Get Up, chatted about their upcoming projects, gun laws in the United States and keeping the hip-hop legacy alive.

On travelling and working on new material: We are working on three different projects. We’ve been travelling much. We don’t like to record songs in between, we plan on blocking out some time. […] The people are the fuel for this machine.”

On gun laws in America: America is America. I think it’s important for people to be strong within their communities. I believe in protecting your communities, I’m definitely for gun control. Americans for one have become desensitised to crime and death. We grew up in a time when crime was your last resort, and now we watch how people glorify crime.”
